My Mom, Allene Banks Hatton

My Mom, She had 4 kids by the time she was 24, when we were young she had no car, no running water inside the house, no inside bathroom, no washer/dryer, she had to carry coal inside and start a fire in a stove when it was cold out, she had to bring water from outside and heat it on a stove pour it into a wash tub to give us our Saturday night bath , but my mom took us to church clean with clean clothes every Sunday and for that I will always be grateful. And on top of that my dad was an alcoholic which made her life even harder. When I was 10 years old we moved to Michigan, we were going to go back to Kentucky after she got a washer and dryer and a car but we never moved back to Kentucky, she retired from Ford motor co. where she worked as a factory worker. My mom loved us kids and we all knew it, and we still do. She gave up her life to make sure we were taken care of. If you read this mom, I love you, thank you for all you’ve done for us and Happy Mothers day.
